Which players should IPL teams retain for 2018? Indian Premier League 2018 is still set to be played in the month of April-May next year, but the speculation surrounding the sport is growing by the day. Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals will return to the league after finishing their two year suspension.

  • Combination of max 3 retentions / 3 RTM
  • If no retention, upto 3 RTM.

  • Max 3 capped Indian players
  • Max 2 uncapped Indian players
  • Max 2 overseas players

Mumbai Indians: Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah. Purse Remaining: Rs 47 crore

Delhi Daredevils: Chris Morris, Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer. Purse Remaining: Rs 47 crore

Royal Challengers Bangalore: Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Sarafaraz Khan. Purse Remaining: Rs 49 crore

Chennai Super KIngs: MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Ravindra Jadeja. Purse Remaining: Rs 47 crore

Rajasthan Royals: Steven Smith. Purse Remaining: Rs 67.5 core

Kings XI Punjab: Axar Patel. Purse Remaining: Rs 67.5 crore

Kolkata Knight Riders: Sunil Narine and Andre Russell. Purse Remaining: Rs 67.5 crore

Sunrisers Hyderabad: David Warner, Bhuvneshwar Kumar Purse Remaining: Rs 67.5 crore.


  1. I think chennai super kings can take Ben stokes, manoj tiwary, washing ton sundar, bravo , ashwin, subramaniyam badrinath , ajinkya rahanea, these players will come and rock the VIVO IPL 2018 , and once again chennai superkings will host the final.

  2. I think Gautam Gambhir is best Captain in every Ipl section. He is also a good highest run scorer in every ipl section.So in my View Gautam Gambhir will be a wieghtable/valuable player for vivo ipl 2018.
